About Me

I have just graduated from graduate school with a Master’s degree in meteorology and certificate in emergency management at Florida State University. During this time I spent four years as the meteorologist at FSU Weather and spent one year as the student councilor of the National Weather Association. I earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 2012 and an associate in arts degree in general studies at St. Petersburg College.  I am a member of the North Florida Chapter of the American Meteorological Society/National Weather Association, where I was the president of the chapter in 2011-12. I am a certified Storm Spotter in Tallahassee. I have a passion for all sorts of weather, although I love the adrenaline drive that comes from tropical and severe weather.  I have a second, although no less important, passion for service.  I have done Relay For Life for numerous years and continue to reach out to the community when doors are opened or chances are created.

I am currently looking for a meteorology position in the operational or broadcast sectors. For more about me: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathanbelles. Go Noles!
