Up, Up, and Away!

Today I will be heading northward to the Badger State with the north Florida chapter of the American Meteorological Society/National Weather Association. I’m traveling to Madison, WI for the annual National Weather Association conference and I’ll be there for 6 days. I’ll be blowing up twitter with chilly weather updates and conference happenings when I can. This is my first NWA conference and I have never been to Wisconsin, so I very excited for both, but I more excited to learn this week and share all new information with you all. Be sure to follow me @JonathanBelles, and my compadres Max Tsaparis (@MaxTsaparis), Sean Viale (@SeanViale), and Alex Yoder (@AlexYoder) on our journey to the Midwest this week.

As for Florida weather this weekend, enjoy the warmth and the slightly drier air on Sunday. Humidity levels will be high much of the weekend with rain chances only getting up to 20% for the northern two-thirds of the state. Summer is still in full effect from Tampa Bay southward, and that comes with higher rain chances. The chance of rain in the Everglades will hover around 40% throughout the weekend. A weak cold front will push through the panhandle on Sunday into Columbus day, but rain chances won’t be much more impressive. The only difference you will notice is slightly drier air toward the end of the three-day weekend.
I know, cheesy title! See ya later!
